Description of tasks:
⬥ Work under the supervision of the direction, the Program Coordinator and Human Resources
⬥ Create and solidify trusting relationships with young girls who are vulnerable and at risk of experiencing or living sexual violence or sexual exploitation
⬥ Follow up with the young girls you are working with and help them with their efforts
⬥ Refer the youth to appropriate resources
⬥ Organize and facilitate activities and workshops on the theme of exploitation and sexual violence
⬥ Be present in our partnering schools during recess, lunch hour, and after school
⬥ Open and keep accessible the recreation room and create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for the youth
⬥ Implicate yourself actively in school life and participate in activities
⬥ Tour the classes at the beginning of the school year to present the project, Prevention CDN NDG’s activities and those of the neighborhood
⬥ Organize organization festivals or fairs
⬥ Work in collaboration with the direction and the outreach teams of partner schools: La Voie and participate in meetings with the team Multi.
⬥ Create and maintain good connections with the school personnel
⬥ Work in partnership with and maintain a network with other neighborhood organizations and institutions
⬥ Represent the project to local and regional partners
⬥ Ensure effective and regular follow-ups with the PPI team
⬥ Organize and participate in the PPI committee meetings
⬥ Participate in monthly Prevention CDN NDG staff meetings
⬥ Participate in Genders and Equality team meetings
⬥ Participate in Prevention CDN NDG Outreach team meetings
⬥ Participate in Table Jeunesse CDN in NDG and in Outremont when needed
⬥ Work in collaboration with members of the Prévention CDN-NDG team
⬥ Actively participate in one or two internal committees and commit to the relevant tasks
⬥ Write monthly activity reports
⬥ Write an annual report for your program or project
⬥ Write financial reports when requested by funders
⬥ Participate in creating an action plan
⬥ Write a minimum of one article a year for the Prevention CDN NDG monthly newsletter
⬥ Participate in certain activities organized by the organization
⬥ Respect the protocols outlined in the Prévention CDN-NDG employee manual
⬥ Any other related tasks
Skills required
⬥ Have relevant professional experience
⬥ Have a good understanding and knowledge of community outreach and social work
⬥ Comfortable using Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
⬥ Comfortable using d’Adobe
⬥ A good understanding of Google Suite
⬥ Comfortable and capable of using videoconferencing programs such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meet
⬥ Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written)
⬥ Demonstrates autonomy, discretion, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
Conditions of the work
⬥ Hiring date: as soon as possible
⬥ Hours per week: 35
⬥ Group insurance after three months probation period
