Reuse / Exchanges
Most of us have stuff we don’t need anymore, or want to get rid of. We also often want to get new things. If you would like to do this in an inexpensive and environmentally conscious way, consider participating in our reuse/exchange programs!
Once a year, we organize a purse and jewelry swap (follow us on Facebook or subscribe to our newsletter HERE to find out when it will happen). To know more click HERE.
- We collect school supplies in good condition for our donation program. Click HERE to know more.
- We collect materials for crafting, buttons, corks and small water bottles that are in good shape. Please contact us if you have something to donate.
- We also organize ecological themed workshops with reusable and recyclable materials.
For a quick reminder, clothes or any kind of fabrics cannot be recycled in Montréal. If your clothes are still in a good shape, you can bring it to a charity shop such as Renaissance or the Salvation Army. Some other thrift stores can take also your clothes but we recommend you to call them before bringing anything to them.
You can also resell them on websites such as Vinted or Kijiji. There are also exchange groups on Facebook, such as : Bunz trading Zone Montreal ; You got it!! Trade & barter Montreal Not bunz group!! ; The Montreal Swap Club / Le collectif d’échange de Montréal.
If you have any fabric from a sewing project, or your clothes are not wearable anymore unfortunately you have to throw it in a regular trash or you can collect them in a bag and bring them to Renaissance. The Renaissance in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce is located on 7205 St-Jacques Street.
