Ramaëlle

Research Coordinator for the Cultivons la culture du consentement Project

Ramaëlle has been working with us since May 2017.

She first coordinated the project Place aux filles! during its first edition. Thus, she accompanied ten teenagers in the creation of a project for and by them aimed to build their self confidence and becoming familiar with citizen involvement. From September 2017 to April 2018, participants met once a week. During these meetings, the participants targeted a problem that particularly affected them in Côte-des-Neiges : the feeling of security. In order to work on this issue, they decided to organize an exploratory march. The event was held in the presence of the Mayor Sue Montgomery so that girls could directly voice their recommendations to improve the girls’ and women’s sense of security in the neighborhood.

Since April, Ramaëlle has been coordinating the Cultivons la culture du consentement project. This three-year project aims to develop tools to prevent and counter sexual harassment in high schools and community centers in Côte-des-Neiges, Notre-Dame-de-Grace, Outremont and Ville Mont-Royal.

Before joining the Prevention CDN-NDG team, Ramaelle was very implicated in Rimouski-based community organizations, in the hopes of creating a more equal and inclusive society.
