Terri has been working with us since 1989.
She has been at Prévention CDN-NDG longer than some of her staff have been alive!!! She began as a Crime Prevention “Animator” in 1989, and she was named Executive Director in 1997. In 2014, Terri celebrated her silver anniversary with the organization! She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Criminology from Carleton University in Ottawa. She uses the psychology ten times more that the criminology!
When asked what drew her to this type of work Terri answered that she never wanted a 9-5 shift-type work with a dress code. She didn’t want to make money for someone else, is a terrible salesperson and never took well to orders. For Terri, the most important is “making a difference” in the community. She fell in love with the Borough of CDN-NDG and loves the variety that it brings as well as its challenges. Terri admires the dedication of the staff!
