I have studied social sciences (international issues) at Cégep Saint-Laurent, where I’ve developed a taste for human related subjects (behaviour, thoughts, emotions). After several trips to South-America and a brief stop in sociology at UdeM, I went back to college to study in Social Work at Dawson, with the desire to acquire the necessary knowledge to help people in need. My second-year training brought me to the Black Community Resource Center. Then, my first job in my field was in a community organization of Parc-Extension., where I worked at the youth table, followed by a position in a housing organization for young adults. I find it critical that young girls get empowered and reach their full potential, this is what motivates me to work with Prévention CDN—NDG.
